December 14 & 15, 7-9 pm This charming play tells the story of two ice fishing buddies from Northern Wisconsin who talk and sing about life, love, and the one that got away. From their ice fishing shanty, long-time pals Lloyd and Marvin keep warm with a mutual appreciation for good bait, cold beer, and the Green Bay Packers. As Marvin anxiously awaits his opportunity to appear on a cable TV fishing show and share secrets of his life on da’ lake, Lloyd ponders a recent squabble with his wife concerning plans to spend their anniversary at Lambeau Field. Both pals scramble to protect their cold ones from fellow angler, Ernie the Moocher. With musical numbers like “De Wishing Hole”, “Ode to a Snowmobile Suit”, and “Fish is de Miracle Food”, Guys on Ice will charm your wool socks off. ALL 3 (male) ROLES ARE OPEN and auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Arrive at SCA. Production Dates are February 9-19.

October 11 & 12, 7-9 pm A Christmas Carol meets The Government Inspector meets Noises Off in this hilarious hit from Seattle. A man who asks to audition at a small theatre in need of funds to repair their building is mistaken for a grant officer from the National Endowment for the Arts. Everyone caters to the bewildered wannabe actor and he is given a role in the current production, A Christmas Carol. Everything goes wrong and hilarity is piled upon hilarity. Directed by George Fidel. Produced by Mary Irish. ALL ROLES ARE OPEN and auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Arrive at SCA. Zorah Bloch — Founding director of The Theater. Extremely self-involved. 40s/50s. Sidney Carlton — A founding member of The Theater. Kind but somewhat addled. 60s. Dorothy Tree Hapgood — Sidney’s wife. English and unable to lose her accent. Also a founding member. 60s. Larry Vauxhall — Tough, intellectually vain. Agitating to alter the production so it is more socially relevant. 40s/50s. Phil Hewlitt — Obsessive, usually plays the intellectual character in any production. Also a founding member. 40s/50s. Walter E. Parsons — African-American. Recently taken up acting again after a stint in the [...]

Saturday, October 15 at 7:00 pm. The theme of the show is, “It Isn’t Easy Going Green.” Local talent will perform a variety of acts as three judges base decisions on originality, ease of presentation, and closest representation to the theme for cash prizes. All other proceeds will benefit SCA. There is still time to be part of this one-of-a-kind event! Call any of the following producers who will gladly schedule you for a brief and casual audition: Angela Shaver (592-3939), Barb Bohneberg (942-3004), and Mary Irish (592-9456). If you would rather participate as an audience member, be sure to mark your calendar now; this show is a must-see. Remember, SCA thrives on community support!
