Every year there is funding available for arts programs but very few apply from this area. Learn how to apply for grant funding for an arts program at your organization. Jennifer Swan from ASI will cover topics including how to craft a successful program and proposal, examples of great programs, how to connect to area artists, and how to work in partnership with other organizations.

Decentralization or DEC is grant funding for smaller organizations, libraries or government units. The organization does not have to have any previous arts programs to apply. Examples include concerts, workshops, festivals, public art, plays and more. Have an idea but no organization to work with? We might be able to pair you up with someone. The program is run by Arts Services Initiative of WNY and applications are available in the Fall. Springville Center for the Arts is not eligible for this program but we want to take an active role in bringing more of this funding to our area. This workshop is for staff or Board members who might like to bring more funding to a new or expanding arts program. Artists are also welcome to come and meet organizations who may be looking for an artist to work with. This grant program is for entities based in Erie County but a similar one exists for Cattaraugus County.  Refreshments provided.
