Public Art 2021

Summer 2021 saw the launch of Public Art Corps formed in partnership with Springville Regional Services Coalition with support from Drug Free Communities. This group of high school students was hired to install murals alongside our visiting artists. They collaborated with Max Collins to install a wheatpaste mural on Main Street, beautify the telephone box in our pocket park, and created multiple temporary, engaging installations.

Our visual arts interns Nghi To and Alisia Glasier completed a series of murals with assistance from the Corps. Nghi To’s mural entitled Sunday Morning is located behind Springville Brewery and faces M&T Bank. Glasier’s mural Crow and Deer– Sweet Companionship is located around the back of Leslie Gibbons Law Office on Mechanic Street. The pair also contributed to the growing mural project on Slippy’s Fence, which runs along the Rail Trail on Eaton Street.

Public Art 2020

A global pandemic can’t stop creativity. A series of public art projects installed by staff, Public Art Corps volunteers and our Summer intern brightens up the community as life slowly re-opens.

Public Art 2019

We started early in the Summer with painting the local spray park pad, followed by sidewalk stencils, park bench pads, and even more mini-murals with the help of M&T Bank and United Way Day of Caring.
