American fingerstyle guitarist Richard Gilewitz sets the stage with a rousing concert filled with amazing chops and humor for an Acoustic Adventure of tunes and tales. As Richard incorporates his own personality and orchestration into a sound tunnel of timeless musical history, he takes his audience on an excursion filled with colorful imagery of samples from European, Contemporary, and Spanish Classical works to the Traditional, Folk, Blues, and American Primitive eras. “Acoustic Adventures” is a 2-hour journey into the past and present realm of guitar that has received standing ovations around the globe from the Garter Lane Arts Centre in Ireland, the Ipswich Center in Australia to the Kravis Performing Arts Center in the United States. This performance follows on the heels of a late summer and fall tour of New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, and the UK.

“A powerhouse of eclectic guitar styles and genres, Gilewitz wears his influences well.” 20th Century Guitar Magazine

“…ear-boggling…where technical precision meets sheer passion for the instrument.” Washington Post

Similar to like-minded souls Jorma Kaukonen, John Fahey and Sandy Bull, Gilewitz’s acoustic magic works best in a live setting.” Scott Verrastro, NASHVILLE

… it’s simply amazing that they were created by two hands dancing across a set of wires. Gilewitz’s own compositions stand beside those by Elizabeth Cotton, John Fahey and J.S. Bach for an entertaining set that is testament to the Floridian’s phenomenal talents. Curtis Ross, Tampa Tribune
