Location: The Education Coordinator is expected to work on site at Springville Center for the Arts on a regular basis to facilitate coordination amongst staff. If you do not know where Springville is, please look at a map. As an organization focused on community development, we have a real bias against people driving long distances to work. It snows a lot in Springville. A lot! What might be a nice, fun drive in May can be a nightmare in March…and April…and every month between November and February…. and sometimes even in May.
Hours & Compensation: The position is considered part-time salaried at 20 hours per week. The Education Coordinator will be paid bi-weekly. Compensation includes full heath coverage (on a lower level plan) and a half-time salary.
We have funding for this position for one year thanks to an investment from the John R. Oishei Foundation. The number one priority is creating sustainable revenue streams from education programs.
It is our intention to eventually expand the position to full-time or combine it with another half-time position as growth allows (unless of course we find the perfect candidate who truly only wants to work part-time). No matter what path this position takes, this is a nonprofit so you are expected to be able to do everything and do it better than your private sector counterparts and for less money. Depending on the candidate, we may or may not expand the position (and pay) into other tasks or duties such as bookkeeping, gallery & giftshop management, development, graphic design, marketing, etc. Please address other skill areas in your application.
Pay is commensurate with experience and dependent on how the position is structured. Right now we have $16-25k to work with.

- · Visual arts background (to complement performance BG of existing staff, not a requirement)
