FACES OF SPRINGVILLE
MAX COLLINS
June 1 – August 17 | Harold L. Olmsted Gallery

Faces of Springville is a community portrait art project created by staff artist Max Collins as his culminating project to his two year residency with SCA. The series is described as, “A love letter celebrating the people of Springville ” which features a wide spectrum of local residents. Over 350 portraits from the project will be presented in the Olmsted Gallery on reclaimed materials including wood and old windows using the artist’s signature wheat-paste technique. At the end of the exhibit the entire body of work will be buried in a time capsule at the Springville Center for the Arts with the intention to be opened and exhibited again in the summer of 2049. Accompanying the exhibit will be a book featuring a selection of the portraits that will be for sale. To see the entire collection of photographs, visit www.FacesofSpringville.com
