Enjoy the company of friends and good food at a community-focussed Seasonal Supper. Saturday, December 9 at 6pm. 39 East Main Street.
The Farm to Table Movement will be hitting Springville on Saturday, December 9th with a Seasonal Supper. Tickets are SOLD OUT for this multi-course fixed price meal showcasing the talents of local chefs and food artisans. Chef Erin Horton of Edible Crush and FreshSmart Cafe is teaming up with lifelong friend Allison Duwe, baker and ownership team member for Art’s Cafe, to bring this pop-up restaurant event to life at 39 East Main Street.
The meal will begin with a seasonal soup served by Art’s Cafe along with a sampling of artisan breads. “We want to give people a taste of what will be available to them on a daily basis when the Cafe opens,” explained Allison Duwe. “Soups made from in-season ingredients and homemade stocks as well as handcrafted breads baked directly on a hearth – that is what Art’s Cafe will be about, along with amazing coffee, espresso, and tea.”
The main menu items feature Chef Erin’s simple artistry. The menu, inspired by the fall harvest, will include: salad of local greens with roasted butternut, red quinoa, cranberries & spiced pecans with local apple cider vinaigrette; local pork or beef with parsnip and potato puree; and roasted beets and turnips. Erin is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and boasts an impressive resume of chef experience. “I want to promote local food and local food artisans with this dinner while providing residents a chance to experience fine dining without traveling beyond the Springville border,” said Chef Erin.
Dessert, coffee, and tea will be included. Attendees can bring wine and/or beer of their choice to accompany the meal. Springville Center for the Arts will provide musical entertainment.
The event will take place at 39 East Main Street in the historic Union Block Building in Springville.
