SPARK!
September 14 – December 21 (15 sessions)
A creativity program for 2-5 year olds that meets on Tuesdays from 10am – noon. Getting your hands dirty is a given, getting covered head-to-toe in paint is a good possibility! Older and homeschooled children are welcome to join in on the fun!
Is your child a tinkerer? Do they love to explore? Join Miss Claire every Tuesday at our creativity program designed for ages 2-5. It’s about the process, not the product. The goal of the program is to improve overall learning and creative problem solving skills through contact with the arts. Plus it’s just a lot of fun!
The program is influenced by the approach used in the Reggio Emilia region of Italy which stresses play, curiosity, the many languages of children, peer-to-peer learning, teachers as partners, the learning environment, and respect for the potential of the child.
Spark! is cooperative in nature and parents of participating children usually get involved in some way. It is a drop off program and parents are discouraged from being at the session every time but we do schedule a volunteer parent for those who are able.
We occasionally bring guests to the sessions and past visitors have brought drumming programs, sing-a-longs, nuts and bolts, and puppets.
$150/120 SCA Members (Cost can be pro-rated or paid per session!)

Spark! meets at Arts Underground located at 66 East Main Street, Springville. Call 716-592-9038 with questions. We follow the SGI school calendar. If school is cancelled, SPARK is cancelled.
