Six twelve year-old children are vying for the Putnam County Spelling Bee Championship. While candidly revealing hilarious and touching stories from their personal life the kids spell their way through a series of words hoping never to hear the “ding” that signals their defeat. In the end, they learn just because you didn’t win doesn’t mean you’re a loser. The show requires four women and five men. All characters are played by adults, who include six “kids”, one female moderator, one male vice-principal, and one male ex-convict comfort counselor. One male role is a non-singing part.
Performances take place November 13, 14, 15 and 16th and November 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. No matter if you spell it theater or theatre this show is sure to be a hit!
