After discussing proportions of the human form, and dynamic poses, we will create a wire armature that will be used as the “skeleton” on which to build upon. Using additive sculpting methods- we will cover the armature with plaster. You may choose to paint your sculpture black or bronze after, or keep it natural white. If you have a pose in mind before class, please bring an image.

Stacey LeChevet: Stacey has been teaching high school art for almost 30 years. When her ( now adult) kids were younger, she had stopped making her own art because she just didn’t have time for it. She took a mixed media class at Springville Center for the Arts when it was still on Main St. It was exactly what she was looking for! It was the spark that she needed to start creating again. Since that time she has had her work in a number of shows, and she has completed a number of public murals. Painting and sculpture are her passion.
