Thanks to a new partnership with the school, these summer programs are free to all children entering K-12 in the SGI school district. Bus transportation will be provided. Out-of-district students can participate in programs at $50 per program; however, scholarships are available as a result of our generous donors and SCA members.

 

All-Out Arts Program
All-Out Arts is a daily program centered around the arts that features visiting artists, field trips, and lots of mess as kids get in touch with their creative side. Students can choose from different weekly electives such as musical theater, stop motion animation, public art, mime, choir, street music, castle camp, photography, playwriting, dance, short film and more. A published schedule will allow parents to plan vacations around these elective programs.
Grades K-6 or Grades 7-8 | July 6 – August 12 | M – Th | 8:30 am – 11:30 am 

 

Public Art with Max Collins
Students will learn from renowned artist Max Collins through exploratory work and installation of public art.
Grades 7-12 | July 6, 7, 8 | 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm  

 

Short Film
Students will prepare a script, learn camera fundamentals, and create a short film.
Grades 7-12 | July 12 – July 23 | M – Th | 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm

 

Playwriting
Students will create short plays that will be read by students in the Music Theater Essentials program.
Grades 7-12 | August 2 – August 12 | M – Th | 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm  

 

Musical Theater Essentials
Students will learn essentials of theater, including monologue, song performance, and movement.
Grades 7-12 | August 2 – August 12 | M – Th | 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm
