Nickel City Opera presents The Music Shop
Join Buffalo’s premiere opera company as they spend a two-week residency at the Arts Center. While here, they will work in schools and stage the hilariously funny modern opera The Music Shop by Richard Wargo. Based on a story by Anton Chekov, a man is instructed by his wife to go to a music store to buy her a piece of music to sing for a prestigious event. He proceeds to forget the name of the song and so the shopkeeper and his assistant sing almost every piece of music in the place! A tour of opera and song…a one act show in English. Great for those new to opera! Designed for kids and adults alike. School performances are November 13 through 17.
Public Shows: Friday, November 17 & Saturday, November 18 at 7pm
General $15 / Students $5
