Sixteen high-profile area individuals were selected from different businesses, governments, organizations and churches. These “VIP’s” were given a disposable camera and two weeks to photograph images that represent the greater Springville area. One image from each participant was selected by SCA staff, enlarged, and framed for presentation.
Participants include Marti Anderson – Retired School Nurse, Springville Kiwanis; Keith Clark – Pastor, Springville Crossing Church; Philip Drozd – Concord Town Board; Jeanne Ellis – Oasis Bed & Breakfast, Melissa Frank – Metro Kirsch Real Estate, PTA; Rev. Matthew French – Pastor, Springville First UMC; Kara Kane – Bertrand Chaffee Hospital, Joel Maul – Concord Historical Society, Liz Melock – Administrator, Village of Springville; Lacey Miller – Concord Democratic Committee; Jennifer Morris – Director, Concord Public Library; Kimberly Moritz – Superintendent, SGI Schools, J.P. Nabozny – Soli Deo Gloria Barber Shop, Ang Shaver – Root 39 Salon, Rob Sprague – Southtowns Tireman Manager, Pat Thoman – Bread of Life Outreach.
The selected artwork will be on display in the Harold L. Olmsted Gallery at Springville Center for the Arts in conjunction with the Winter’s Presence exhibit starting November 24.
The gala event begins at 7 pm on December 21 with registration, refreshments and music. At 8 pm, each piece is individually auctioned with the proceeds benefiting the Center’s spring programs.
Tickets to the event are available online at SpringvilleArts.org, by phone at 716-592-9038 or in person at the gallery space. Admission to the event is $10 presale and $12 at the door. Bidders will scan their credit card during the registration process to enable auction payment.
