Springville Center for the Arts proudly introduces their fall musical, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, by William Finn and Rachel Sheinkin. This TONY award winning musical features an eclectic group of six mid-pubescents as they vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. Our twelve-year-old spellers will be portrayed by John Mrozik, Michael Baronich, Kate Cummings, Amanda Wilcox, Katie McMahon, and Jeff Maris. Rounding out the cast as spelling bee officials, the Springville Players happily introduce Gina Drigant, Kyle Carnahan, and Matt Boyle. Under the direction of Sue Sorensen and Doug Bailey, this riotous ride complete with audience participation is a delightful den of comedic genius. Look for clues around town leading up to this musical geared toward an adult audience. Performances take place November 13, 14, 15, 21, 22 at 8pm and Sundays November 15 and 23 at 2pm at Springville Center for the Arts, Carol Mongersen Theater, (716) 592.9037, www.springvillearts.org.
