PreK
Dates: Tuesdays & Thursdays as part of an overall curriculum. Call 592-9038 for more information.
Location: Arts Underground

• This will include Dance, Theatrical story telling, story making, acting out scenes, etc.

Musical Theater Camp 1: Annie
Dates: June 24th – July 6th, Monday-Friday from 12-3pm, Performance Saturday, Jul 6 at 4pm
Ages: Children entering grades 3-8
Price: $60
Location: Mongerson Theater
Class Capacity: 30 or so
Description: In this process-oriented camp, kids will explore the building blocks of musical theater and participate in fun activities resulting in a theater production of Annie.
• Students will gain basic knowledge of musical theater fundamentals
• Students will gain creative confidence and will develop creative ideas

Morning Dance
Dates: Monday & Wednesdays at 9am, – July 1- Aug 7, 12 sessions.
Ages: Grades 9-12, open to adults as well
Cost: $30
Location: Mongerson Theater
Class Capacity: 20  For beginner and intermediate dancers. Broad intro to dance including creative movement, hip-hop etc.

Improv – Comedy
Dates: Tuesday & Thursday Evenings 7pm, Starts June 27, Approximately 12 sessions.
Ages: Grades 6-12, adults too
Cost: $30

Description: Instructor Facilitated improv. Includes theater games, group scenes, final informal performance.

Technical Theater Camp
Dates: Musical 1: July 1-5, mornings or afternoons
Shakespeare Crew: July 8-12
Musical Theater 2: August 5-9
Ages: Entering grades 6-12
Cost: $20.00
Location: Mongerson Theater
Class Capacity: 6
Description: Join the tech crew. Work hand in hand with the SCA interns. Learn how to hang lights, paint sets, run sound, do makeup and design costumes. Pick one session or come to all for the price of one.

Et Tu Shakespeare?
Dates: July 8th- July 20th, Monday-Friday 12-3pm, Performance July 21st at 4pm
Ages: Children entering grades 6-12
Cost: $45.00
Location: Fiddler’s Green Performance / SCA rehearsals and TBD
Class Capacity: 12
Description: A modified Shakespeare program targeting the middle school age to young HS bracket. Students will stage a Shakespeare production, maybe modified, but give me something.
• Students will develop a basic understanding of Shakespearian theater
• Students will participate in the creation of an end product as a show

Get In Motion: Creative Movement Workshop
Dates: July 15th-July 19th Monday-Friday, 10am-11am, Informal showing for parents July 19th during class time
Ages: Children entering kindergarten- 3rd grade
Cost: $25.00
Location: Mongerson Theater
Class Capacity: 10
Description: Using creative movement games and exercises that get kids moving, students will explore the four elements of dance; space, shape, time and dynamics.
• Students will expand both their imaginations and motor skills
• Students will develop an understanding of the basic principles of movement

Puppet Play: Puppetry for Kids
Dates: July 29th-August 2 Monday-Friday, 10am-11:30am, Informal showing for parents July 20th during class time
Instructor: Interns
Ages: Children entering kindergarten- 2nd grade
Cost: $30.00
Location: Theater   Class Capacity: 10
Description: Creating original puppets under the supervision of instructors students will then use these characters to make stories come to life in an informal performance.
• Students will construct their own puppets to keep
• Students will learn basic puppetry and storytelling skills

Musical Theater Workshop 2
Dates: July 29th- August 10th, Monday-Friday, 12-3pm, Performance August 9 at 7pm and August 10th at 4:00pm
Ages: Children entering grades 3-8
Cost: $60
Location: Theater

SLAM – In the Heights
Dates: Performances Thursday, Friday, Sat @ 8pm, Sun @ 2pm, Last weekend in July, 1st in August. Auditions June 3,4 at 3pm
Ages: Grade 9 – College
Cost: $60, Price includes 4 tickets to show
Location: Theater

Description: Students put on a show. Plain and simple.

Art Camp I
Dates: July 9-August 15, Tuesday/Thursday 12:30-2:30
Instructor: Varies from class to class
Ages: Entering grades 3-5
Cost: $50.00
Location: Meet at SCA, Location will vary from outside, Town Hall, Boys & Girls Club
Class Capacity: 25
Description: Each session features a different artist as students experiment and create art projects.

Art Camp II

Stop Motion Animation
Dates: July 29-August 2, Monday-Friday 9-11am

Family Percussion
Dates: Four Mondays at 7pm: June 24, July 1, 8, 22

Ages: Adults and motivated HS and MS students

Children’s Drumming and Rhythm Hour
Dates: Four one hour sessions 10:30-11:30 am, July 8,9,10,11
Instructor: Steve Bell
Ages: Adults and motivated grades 3-5. Musical background will contribute but is not at all necessary. Drums and percussion “toys” will be provided.

Short Film Camp
Dates: July 22-26, 9am -noon every day.

Ages: HS and MS students

Description: Work with peers to produce a short video. Learn camera techniques, sound and production skills. Script to Screen in one week.
