Spend the month finding out the many ways you can manipulate a plain white sheet of paper. We will try a blend of traditional and new techniques – from eco and dip dyeing, to gelatin plate printing, marbling and paste papers. Then we will explore the many ways you can use your new paper creations in collage, mixed media, and book arts.
Week 1 – Eco Dyeing / Dip Dyeing
Week 2 – Gelatin Printing
Week 3 – Paste Papers
Week 4 – Use some of the papers you have been making in some sample artist book structures and experiment with different ways to further manipulate these papers – like monagami and stitching.
