Gary Rinaldi writes, “Not unlike many photographers, I learned early on that I lacked the necessary skills to paint or draw. So, I turned to photography as a creative outlet. After ten years as a portrait and wedding photographer, my hobby is now spending time observing and photographing wildlife. For me, this type of photography is ninety percent watching and learning, and only about ten percent actually raising the camera to your eye. By stripping away the color and choosing images with featureless backdrops, my intent is to allow the viewer to see the subject almost as an artist’s drawing or a sketch. An image reduced to its purest forms, lines, shapes, and textures.”
