ART NIGHT: WOMEN AS ARTIST & SUBJECT

Learn about female artists throughout history, women as represented in art, the intersection of women as both Muse and Master, and the modern context of feminism in art. Speakers include: Ellen Owens, Adjunct Professor at Niagara University and Director of Castellani Museum; Heather Gring, Archivist of Rare Books at Buffalo + Erie Co Public Library, artist’s model; Biljana Petreska, Roycroft Artisan in Photography, artist specializing in alternative photography and female identity centered self-portraiture; and Tami Fuller, Executive Director for the Roycrofters-at-Large Association, weaver and fiber artist using traditional women’s textile work as a medium to explore the female experience.
