Andrew Galarneau talks about the state of journalism, his thirty-five-year career in print and his transition to online community journalism. Q&A to follow the presentation. 

Bring a song you have written or are working on. Share with others. With the hopes of continuing to build a community of songwriters, Caleb Spaulding, Nick Kowalski, & Jon Hasz will host this monthly get-together. 

This drop-off creativity program for ages 2 through 5 takes the Reggio Emilia approach of “process over product.”  Kids explore open-ended arts activities at their own pace, with the guidance of instructors.

Create a galaxy while following a step-by-step guide! Students will learn different painting techniques such as sponge, brush and splatter, and generally how to use acrylic paint. With Kelly Betschen.

This basket has the added benefit of being a “recycled/repurposed” item!  It’s very useful and surprisingly strong and versatile.  It will flex without cracking and gets nicer with age.  A variety of papers are suitable for weaving but for this class we will be using standard paper grocery bags. Create a personalized fall-themed embroidery hoop using thread, fabric, beads, and more. Your 8 inch hoop can be used as a wall piece or ornament. With Amanda McCrory.

In this workshop students will be encouraged to research their heritage and express their culture through clay. They will learn the science of pottery, hand building techniques and historical decorative applications to create their visual autobiography. With Cassondra Argeros.
