Jon Horton has been nominated for re-election. Elizabeth Vacanti has been nominated for election.
Elizabeth Vacanti began her career as an Officer Records Clerk in the Navy, eventually earnin her B.S. degree from Medaille College in Business Administration. Over the years she worked in Government Contracting at West Valley Nuclear Services and various other U.S. Department of Energy National Laboratories, retiring in 2022 as Senior Specialist at Oak Ridge Laboratory. Over the years, Elizabeth engaged in many civic groups. She was Treasurer for a non-profit organization that organized fundraisers to support many charitable efforts in Appalachia. She also volunteered for the Light the Night campaigns, benefiting The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s funding of research to find blood cancer cures, as well as Susan G. Komen organization to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research.
