This three-part painting workshop will set the groundwork for better paintings over time. Geared for intermediate students, the focus will be the planning and design steps that result in more masterful paintings. The lessons will emphasize where and how you put paint down, shapes used, values arranged, and colors selected. The aim will not be on a single wonderful painting but rather smaller size paintings that allow for easy corrections. Participants will select their own media and subject matter to work with. "Get in the Car" Short Play Series

“Get in the Car” originated in the Buffalo Writers’ Theater Annual Short Play Showcase in 2023, and is now making its way to SCA with a new cast. There are 8 plays total, each of them lasting 10 minutes and inspired by the phrase “Get in the car.” Many are comical while some deal with more serious topics. With playwrights: Karen McDonald, Neal Radice, Tj Snodgrass, Jennifer Tromble, Tim Joyce, Allison Fradkin, Jenn Dlugos, Charlie Hatton, Madison Sedlor, Matt Boyle, and Mike Fanelli.

Amble through enchanting landscapes where you’ll see some of the largest and tallest trees in the region, picturesque mossy-bouldered creeks featuring many small waterfalls, intriguing root formations and much more. These areas are unique and wondrous, a world left to it’s own devices, largely unaltered by man.
