DAVID’S HIDDEN PLACES: SCENIC SIGHTS OF SPRAGUE BROOK

A guided tour through Erie County’s Sprague Brook Park’s scenic highlights as seen through the eyes of professional photographer David Reade. This excursion will feature commanding views of the park and surrounding hills; beautiful creek vistas; intriguing pond reflections; monstrous old-growth trees, and the first exquisite forest wildflowers of spring all along a route custom designed by David exclusively for this tour.
Rating: Easy to moderate
Who: Experienced hikers who can handle uneven trail terrain with the occasional short bushwhack.
Time: Approximately 4 hours
Requirements/Recommendations:
- Sturdy hiking boots.
- Layered clothing that can be worn or removed depending on circumstances.
- Trekking poles are optional (helps on the uneven terrain)
- The physical ability to handle such an adventure (self assess)
- You will be required to sign an acknowledgment of the risks of such an adventure.
Photographic Equipment Recommendations:
- Camera: A quality camera with good dynamic range (ability to handle high contrast light).
- Lens(es): wide angle to mild telephoto.
- Optional: lightweight tripod (for longer exposures).
Also bring:
- Ample water.
- A great attitude – we’re going to see some awesome stuff!
