Exploring Ancient Allegany | May 17th | 7am-4pm | $95
This hike is a guided wilderness bushwhack through some of Allegany’s mostly unknown and seldom visited old growth forests, a couple of which are among the largest remaining intact ancient forests in the Northeast. Amble through enchanting landscapes where you’ll see some of the largest and tallest trees in the region, picturesque mossy-bouldered creeks featuring many small waterfalls, intriguing root formations and much more. These areas are unique and wondrous, a world left to it’s own devices, largely unaltered by man.
