Heart | The Heart as a Garden | Suminagashi & Unstruck Sound

Chakras are energetic power centers that form an important part of our creative identities, and are accessible through many associations ranging from color, scent and even certain foods. Understanding and unlocking these points have a powerful impact on our ability to feel, embody our power, speak, sing, dance and create. These workshops are designed to be taken as a series but each class stands alone – previous workshops in the series are not needed to join in the experiences. With Tami Fuller.
In this class we’ll focus on “I Love,” the Heart Chakra, associated with our capacity to love, the seat of our compassion and connection, and transcendence of fear, also referred to as the gateway to our inner gardens. Anahata translates means “unstruck sound,” and speaks to the nature of centered open heartedness. We’ll use traditional Suminagashi marbling and Ebru paint techniques to work through a comparison contemplation of grayscale and the traditional Heart Chakra color of green to create our own complex gardens.
