SWEDISH NEEDLE FELTED TOMTE GNOMES

Tomte(n) are traditional authentic Swedish Christmas gnomes, meant to bring good luck and protection during the dark evenings approaching Yule and the Solstice. We’ll create them using traditional wool doll making technique, pre-made felt yardage, needle felt technique and authentic Gotland Locks, which is a heritage Swedish breed of sheep. The class will construct a pair of these guardians of the light to be a part of winter traditions leading up to Yule. With Tami Fuller.
