Geared for intermediate students, the focus will be the planning and design steps that result in more masterful paintings. The lessons will emphasize where and how you put paint down, shapes used, values arranged, and colors selected. The aim will not be on a single wonderful painting but rather smaller size paintings that allow for easy corrections. Participants will select their own media and subject matter to work with. There are 8 plays total, each of them lasting 10 minutes and inspired by the phrase “Get in the car.” Many are comical while some deal with more serious topics.
